Happy New Year to you, my dear subscriber! 🥳

Let me introduce myself to you once again… My name is Dr Vanessa Atienza-Hipolito, and I am the Clinical Director, Specialist of Breast Imaging and Intervention and business owner of Women’s & Breast Imaging (WBI), Cottesloe, Western Australia. I am a passionate educator and is an Adjunct Clinical Senior Lecturer at Curtin University, The University of Western Australia, and Edith Cowan University. I completed my Radiology training in the Philippines and undertook subspecialty fellowship training in Breast Imaging, Musculoskeletal Imaging, Interventional and Vascular Radiology at Royal Perth Hospital and Sir Charles Gardner Hospital. Additionally, I completed further training in Paediatric Radiology at Princes Margaret Hospital, in Perth Western Australia. My commitment to breast care has taken me out of the clinical environment, and into the online space, to create a platform which complements my clinical services. As of 2022, I have launched three book anthologies (Courage and Confidence: What It Really Takes To Succeed, Global Girls: Find Your Thing, and The Power To Rise Above), became a founding member of The Brilliant Foundation, working closely in supporting the Ladybird Foundation, and now a Brand Ambassador of MDA National. I am a wife and a mother of two. I contribute actively to my community in numerous ways by providing pro bono health education, ensuring they have access to current information on optimal care for breast health and the best available breast imaging technology. I have completed full and multiple half marathon events, including the races in Budapest, Hungary and Bordeaux, France; Busselton Jetty open water swim 3.6km and Ironman 70.3 in Western Australia. In my spare time, I love singing in the choir, triathlon, swimming in the ocean, running, cycling, playing tennis, playing scrabble games with the family, and travelling. Notable Awards
